			Overview Development of a design manual with complete specifications for the construction of a comprehensive signage system. Design Features The system has been designed from the start to be extremely vandal-resistant. All parts are metal and all graphics are replaceable silk-screened decals. A logo was also created for the City of Burlington. Design challenges Our team worked for several months with public works, planning & zoning, the police department, representatives from the business community and the local airport to determine optimal locations for this system. Several systems were examined for best visual qualities and recognition at 35-50 MPH. The design has proven very successful, inspiring other towns to use our concepts.
